Sunday Morning

Sunday morning Services are at 8:30 and 11:00 AM.
Sunday School is from 9:45 until 10:45.
See the News & Events section for special seasonal services.

Sunday School is offered for Preschool through Adult.  Click here for a building map and list of class locations.

Communion: Baptized Christians instructed in the meaning of Holy Communion are invited to receive the sacrament. Persons not yet instructed may come forward during communion for a special blessing. The wine is offered either by individual or common cup. For those who would prefer grape juice it is already poured in cups in the center of the communion tray.

AccessibilityA large print Lutheran Book of Worship is available for persons visually impaired. Wheel Chair areas with easily accessible hymnals are available at the edge of several of the pews.  Please ask an usher for assistance for either of these.

Types of Services:  We offer a variety of worship experiences.
Our LBW (Lutheran Book of Worship) service utilizes the traditional liturgy from the second setting in the LBW.
Our Contemporary Celebration service provides lively music from our band, with acoustic guitar, electric piano, drums and other instruments.

Click here for our Worship Page, with more details about our services including an example bulletin and liturgy from our LBW service.

Click here for a schedule of services for this month.

Bible Activity Time for Children:  At our 11:00 service a special Bible Activity Time is provided for children ages 4 through 8.  This begins after the children's sermon, and goes through the end of the sermon.

Our Library

Our library is conveniently located in the Narthex of the church, right outside the sanctuary for easy access.

It is easy and rewarding to use the library at Holy Cross. Simply choose the books or videos that you would like to borrow. Remove the card from inside the book. Write your name on it and put it in the little metal box on top of the card catalog file. You may check out as many items as you want. Please return them promptly though, so others can use them too. When you have finished with the books or videos, you may either leave them on top of the card catalog file and I will put them away for you, or you can put the card back in the book or video and then return them to the shelves.

We have a fantastic selection of children's videos. Think about using them for your own children, grandchildren or children you baby sit. We also have many great children's books. The selection of books for adults is as varied as you could possibly want. Look them over and select one or several to read. If you have any questions or suggestions of books or videos to purchase, please contact the church office

Devotional Booklets available

We offer two Daily Devotional books, which are published once per quarter.  They are available at no charge on a table in the Narthex of the church, near the entrance doors to the sanctuary.  Both are published by Augsburg Fortress, which is the ELCA publishing house.

The Home Altar is designed for families with Children.  It contains 4 pages per week, with an Introduction, Head Start, Real Life, and Prayers section.  There are bible readings for each day.
The Word In Season has one page per day.  A bible passage is given for each day, with several paragraphs, often a story, written to go with it.  At the bottom of each page are the daily passages (first lesson, second lesson, Gospel, psalm)  from the Lutheran Book of Worship.
