The Technology Ministry works to enhance the ministry of Holy Cross through the creative use of technology.  This includes the installing and maintaining telephone and computer equipment in the office, audio and video equipment throughout the church, and responsibility for the Holy Cross Web Site (www.holycrosslivermore.org).

Our main tasks to date have been to:

• upgrade the office computers

• research and choose an ISP for email and internet access for the church office

• Set up and manage the web site.

• Add an additional phone line for use by the fax machine and computers

We are always looking for volunteers in the areas of:

• Audio equipment configuration and maintenance

• Video equipment configuration and maintenance

• Computer equipment configuration and maintenance

• Computer software selection and configuration

• Gathering information, pictures, etc. for the web site. (no web experience required)

• Web design and support

• Committee members

Specifically we could use people to gather information for the web site, especially from other committees within the church.

In September of 2001 we switched the church over to cable modem internet access from dial up service.  This has made our internet usage much more convenient and much faster.
