Maundy Thursday marks the Last Supper.  Jesus' love is demonstrated both in his example of servanthood, the washing of the disciples feet, and in the gift of himself in Holy Communion.  Judas betrays Jesus.  Jesus is arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane, in the Mount of Olives.

A day of thanks to God by the Pilgrims for a plentiful harvest in 1621.  Their first winter had been very difficult and took many lives.  With the help of local Indians they were able to plant crops that yielded a harvest that would get them through the winter.
