HC Book Club will meet on February 12 at 10:30 in the Music Room for a discussion of The Tortilla Curtain by T.C. Boyle. We have selected books for March and April; they are as follows: For our March discussion we will read Infidel by Ayaan Hirsi Ali, and for our April discussion we will read Nikolai’s Fortune by Solveig Torvick. We would love to have you join us on the 2nd Tuesday of every month.

In an effort to raise money for WorldVision hunger programs and the Senior High Mission Trip, our senior high students will spend 30 hours fasting. The fast will be called to an end with a Soup and Bread Dinner. We’ll hear, first-hand, what it was like for the students to go without eating for 30 Hours.
On this evening we will also hear from Randy Trump and Pastor John about their recent trip to Haiti to work with the Haitian Timoun Foundation. Story-sharing, pictures, video, and dreaming will be just a few of the things in store for the evening.
We will also be handing out tiny plastic tubes with M&Ms. After you eat or give the M&Ms away, we are asking that you fill those same tubes up with coins, cash, or checks. This is a great way to get your children involved in supporting our senior high mission trip. At a determined time, we will ask you to bring those tubes back in, filled of course, to be tallied and put toward our over-all fundraising goal of $27,000.We’d love to have you join us.
